At The Sarah Nulty Power of Music Foundation, we believe in music’s unique ability to transform lives, especially for young people navigating difficult circumstances. That’s why we’re proud to support Roundabout, South Yorkshire’s youth homelessness charity, as they continue their inspiring music education programme.
Roundabout’s music education programme, delivered in partnership with RiteTrax, a Sheffield-based social enterprise,is more than a music class. It’s a space for creativity, healing, and hope.
Through monthly workshops, five young people aged 16–18 living in Roundabout’s supported housing explore music production and songwriting with guidance from experienced mentors. These sessions offer more than technical skills, they provide a platform for self-expression and confidence-building.
Support for this programme makes an immediate and lasting impact. It helps young people build confidence, discover new talents, and develop a sense of identity through creative expression. The workshops also strengthen trust and connection between participants and their support workers—relationships that are crucial for personal growth and long-term independence. By monitoring attendance, gathering feedback, and assessing changes in confidence and wellbeing, Roundabout is building a strong case for future investment to expand this important work.
We’re honoured to support Roundabout as they use the power of music to inspire, empower, and uplift young people who have experienced homelessness. This isn’t just about music education, it’s about opening doors and building brighter futures.
