Who can apply?
The Power of Music Foundation supports people of any age in Sheffield, who are socially or economically disadvantaged. We work with individuals and organisations supporting people with disabilities and complex needs, with children and schools, and with anyone experiencing hardship.
We can only support applications which have music at their heart, and where the people who will benefit from the support are based within Sheffield.
You can apply online via Google Forms (you must be logged into Google) or download and complete the application form (Word.doc).
We offer two types of grants, small grants up to the value of £500 and large grants up to £2,000.
The larger grants are specifically for new project ideas or existing projects that are seeking further funding and we can only offer a very limited number per year. We offer small grants of up to £500 on a rolling basis so please take some time to consider which grant is most appropriate before applying. The large grants will be open on a quarterly basis with the third round open now and closing on 23rd March 2024. We will reach out to successful applications following this date.

Please note that under the terms of the CIO Foundation Constitution dated 1st January 2020, the objects of the Charity are to advance the arts for the public benefit in particular, but not exclusively by the provision of:
(a) grants to enable, encourage and guide socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in order to enhance their musical talents.
(b) grants to support and aid any organisations which further this purpose and are exclusively charitable in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Applications from Sheffield City are eligible for consideration.
Applications can be made by charitable organisations or groups and individuals requesting support for themselves or on behalf of others.
All applications from previous recipients of grants or from previously unsuccessful applicants will be considered by the Trustees on their own merits.
