Yogalols CIC’s Musical Minds project, is our latest grant recipient.Building on five years of experience delivering successful singalong and music therapy sessions. The project will provide inclusive, interactive music quizzes and group singalongs for isolated adults and older people experiencing cognitive challenges, neurodiversity, dementia, or long-term mental and physical health barriers.
The project will help reduce social isolation, improve mental wellbeing, build confidence, and encourage friendships through the shared enjoyment of music. This is particularly important during the long winter months, when people can feel more isolated and have fewer opportunities to socialise.
Sessions will be welcoming, accessible and free to attend, with no earlier musical experience needed. The funding will support session delivery, accessible venue hire, transport assistance, inclusive session materials, and refreshments, helping to ensure that people facing financial, physical, or social barriers can participate.
The project offers a fun and accessible way to bring people together, reduce isolation and improve wellbeing through music. It builds on Yogalols CIC’s existing experience and will give more people the opportunity to enjoy music, make connections and feel part of their local community.
