We’re proud to support Urban Beat Academy and Arundel Lane Studios with a grant to deliver a two-day intensive music project for NEET young people (aged 16–24) in Sheffield who want to build a future in the music industry.
Based at the Stagg Works on John Street, they use music to inspire confidence, develop skills, and create positive pathways for young people who face barriers to education or employment. The grant will cover studio time, tutor fees, mentoring, and travel support, helping ensure that every participant can take part.
The impact of their work speaks for itself , over the past year they’ve supported around 40 young people through tailored creative programmes. Many have gone on to re-engage with education, take on work placements, or start formal creative study.
By funding this new project, The Sarah Nulty Power of Music Foundation is helping to fill a vital gap in Sheffield’s music education and development opportunities, particularly for those who might otherwise have nowhere else to turn.
