Supporting Sheffield’s diverse music scene: Grant awarded to The Tramlines Fringe Stage, through The JuJu Club.

January 12, 2026 Julie Voisey

The Sarah Nulty Power of Music Foundation is proud to support The JuJu Club with a grant to help bring a vibrant, inclusive line-up to this summer’s Tramlines Fringe Stage at Devonshire Green ,a stage that held a special place in Sarah’s heart.

For several years, Alan Deadman has curated the Fringe Stage, creating an open and welcoming space that celebrates community talent and global music. The JuJu Club, his long-running Sheffield project, promotes music from around the world while championing local and culturally diverse artists, including musicians who overcome significant personal and social barriers to perform.

This year’s grant will directly support three inspirational acts performing at the Fringe on 25–26 July 2026:

 - Gemma Rosenthal, a young songwriter managing mental health challenges, who will form a band to take to a major stage.

- Ripton Lindsey, an Afro-Caribbean musician and dancer who brings infectious energy to the crowd with interactive Jamaican rhythms and dance.

- Sparkle Sistaz, a group of talented women from the Under The Stars Project, and an absolute favourite of ours, , returning with their joyful performance after previously receiving Foundation support.

By sharing this grant across these artists, the Foundation continues its mission to help people experience the transformative power of live music, nurture confidence through creativity, and ensure free access to performance opportunities.

We’re thrilled to be part of an initiative that brings people together through a shared love of music and reflects Sarah’s enduring belief that music connects us all.
